The Ministry of Rural Development, a branch of the Government of India, is entrusted with the task of accelerating the socio-economic development of rural India. Its focus is on health, education, drinking water, housing and roads. The Ministry of rural development has a major role in unified approach as they implement rural development programmes through various platforms including the SHGs under NRLM. According to the report available in https://nrlm.gov.in/shgOuterReports. there are about 7,29,80,811 SHG members in India. Engagement of SHGs in IEC and implementation and O&M of constructed plants will be a great economic support. Hence the role of NRLM and MoRD is very important in the Unified approach
