The (DARE) coordinates and promotes agricultural research & education in the country with the support of four autonomous bodies under its administrative control. They are

1. Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).

2. Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal.

3. Dr Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, Pusa, Bihar.

4. Rani Laxmi Bai Central Agricultural University, Jhansi, UP. DARE is the nodal agency for International Cooperation in the area of agricultural research and education in India and also envisages research and education in agriculture including horticulture, fisheries and animal sciences in the entire country. Their role in this unified approach is very important as Research and Development in the sector is still needed for enhancing the efficiency in the existing technologies of bio methanation sector as well as for developing new avenues for the usage of biogas, CBG and bio-manure produced as the result of conversion of waste to wealth and energy.
